ThePsychoMovies.com's message board is now back online and better than ever. Ok, well, it maybe too early to say that but as of now, it is a clean slate and ready for your postings. Access it at http://www.thepsychomovies.com/batesmotelwebforum. Be sure to sign up for a new username and password - even if you were a previous user. We had spam issues once again that wiped out the entire board. This should not happen again. Or at least, I hope it doesn't because I'm sick and tired of resetting this thing. Anyway, happy postings! More news coming in the next day or so.

Henry Thomas interviewed for Psycho Legacy Documentary
Exciting news from Los Angeles as RobG has finally secured an interview with actor Henry Thomas who will always be remembered for his role as Elliot in Steven Spielberg's E.T. Psycho fans of course remember him as Young Norman Bates from Psycho IV: The Beginning. Stay tuned for a scheduled update tomorrow, Wednesday, July 1st.

New Podcast set for Wednesday, July 1st
During the weekend, I attempted to sort my six hard drives totalling around 3 terabytes. I can't believe how much crap I sorted through. On the Psycho front, the folder storing material regarding these films is busting at the seams. It is so large that when you open it, the thumbnail file gets overloaded and its impossible to navigate. I have - over 7 gigs of pictures, 10 of video and tons of things I plan to share with you all on the web site. Recently, I managed to secure podcast interviews with Jon Mooers who worked on the set of Psycho IV back in 1990 and Juliette Cummins who played Red in Psycho III back in 1986. Hard to believe Psycho IV is celebrating 19 years since it's filming. June 7th, 1990 was the day Universal Studios Florida opened up and we will have more on that coming up in the next few days. Also, very special thanks to Justin - a site fan - who recently sent us a bevy of rare photographs. The Psycho House picture in this blog entry was taken around the time that Bates Motel was shot in 1987. Some of the stills he sent were never-before-seen - so be sure to stay tuned. This week, I will launch podcast episode number 6. In the episode we speak to someone who was instrumental at making Psycho II (1983) work in more ways than one. Her job was locating some of the original props to make the interior sets match. We won't say anymore - stay tuned for that on Wednesday! Figure on a new podcast each month on the first. More to come in the next day or so.

Norman Bates on the Universal Studios Tour
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your great comments about the web site. I have received tons of e-mail's since the relaunch on June 8th from people in all parts of the world telling me how they check out ThePsychoMovies.com on a daily basis to see what's been updated. The Tom Holland part II podcast has officially been downloaded to date 320 times since it went up. So a very big thanks to all who have written and those who continue to support the site. Recently, Conan O' Brien took over for Jay Leno on NBC's 'The Tonight Show.' The show is now taped at Universal Studios Hollywood so you know the Bates Motel/Psycho House would probably end up on the show at some point. On the premiere episode, Conan took the Tram Tour around the backlot and sure enough, they visited the iconic sets. What was very funny was the actor playing Norman Bates carrying Marion's dead body into the trunk before chasing after the park visitors. If anyone has been to the studio since they started this feature and has pictures, send them to thepsychomovies@gmail.com. More to come in future updates!

Anthony Perkins on David Letterman
A special update is planned for tomorrow so stay tuned. You gotta love YouTube. It allows us to see old clips that we may not remember. Too bad they're taking so many of them down due to copyright infringement. Well, before this one gets the ax, here is Anthony Perkins on Late Night With David Letterman back in 1986 promoting Psycho III. Note the comment from Dave regarding the title of the film sounding like dog food. Too funny. Enjoy!
